Below are links to important information regarding temporary Health Care Services available to you during this pandemic provided by the Nassau County Comptrollers Office. One link is for Empire and three to Aetna explaining services depending upon which plan you are enrolled in.
Empire Plan Highlights:
Effective March 25, 2020, members will have access to LiveHealth Online Telehealth services through Empire BlueCross. This benefit is available to members at no cost through December 31, 2020. Aetna Plan Highlights:
Effective for 30 days starting 3/25/2020, Precertification/Preauthorization for Post-Acute, Long-Term Acute Care Hospital Admissions and Acute Care Admission is waived. Aetna is also extending Prior Authorization for Clinical Therapies for 90 days. Aetna is applying a quantity limit bundle to prevent unnecessary stockpiling due to COVID-19, including the potential shortages of key drugs.
