Dear COBA Members;

Members of CSEA's Local 830 in Nassau County ratified their recently negotiated contract proposal last night with 79 % of their members who voted, doing so in favor of the deal.

Now that CSEA has ratified and we know the contents of their deal, we can move ahead with that information to aid in negotiating a new deal for our members.

As an update, COBA has met with and continue to talk with the County and NIFA's negotiator about our successor contract issues moving forward.

Initial proposals have been discussed with additional meetings forthcoming.

We will keep you posted on this all important issue as it progresses.
