Staff Information for Anticipated Blizzard

Many of you have seen the forecast change for the worse and there is currently an anticipation of heavy snow on Sunday night into Monday. Based on this forecast, Commissioner Sposato is authorizing the following.

(Subject to change if an extreme shift in snow expectations)

Sunday 2/22 Platoon 4

Any Officer or Cpl. who is working and willing to work overtime on 4-12 and be paid for a rest period on midnight shift and work their scheduled 8-4 on Monday.

Sunday 2/22 Platoon 6

Any Officer or Cpl. who is working and willing to work overtime on 0001-0800 and be paid for a rest period on the 8-4 and work their scheduled 4-12 on Monday.

Midnight Platoon 2/22 into 2/23

Any Officer who is working and willing to work overtime on 8-4 and be paid for a rest period on 4-12 shift prior to their shift start on 2/23 at 2330hours. This will minimize your potential in driving during the worst of the storm.

Any Platoon 2 and Platoon 5 Officer can contact the Desk Lt with their availability to work and be afforded the same rest overtime opportunities.

In Early Overtime

Any midnight officer scheduled to work tonight at 0001 on 2/23 will be permitted to come to work up to 4 hours early on OT and be paid for the rest period leading up to your shift, to ensure a safer commute.

Any Platoon 4 Officer scheduled to work the 8-4 on Monday 2/23 will be permitted to come to work up to 4 hours early on OT and be paid for the rest period leading up to your shift, to ensure a safer commute.

This time will not impact your overtime availability for the next shift. Please check in with the Desk Lt when you arrive at the facility tomorrow to be compensated for this period.
