Sherriffs Memo

April 9, 2020

We are approaching the one-month mark since the County declared a State of Emergency, however it feels like an eternity. The County, the Country along with the rest of the world has been fighting this horrific pandemic. lam telling everyone bo\V proud, honored and fortunate to be working with such professional staff here at the Sheriff's Department. You show your perseverance and dedication each and every day here at work by protecting not only our communities but by protecting each other, while our families and friends n1ay be struggling just to stay healthy or alive. Very few times are we ever recognized for the sacrifices We have made that benefit the overall welfare of everyone in a job that so few can even do. Please know that I am blessed to have such an incredible staff. County Executive Curran has mentioned several times the powerful message all of you bring to protecting the public as exceptional Law Enforcement Officers. Please know that you are being recognized, even when you do not hear it announced publicly to the rest of the community. Be safe and be well. May God bless our friends, families and those that have suffered and may not have lived to see tomorrow.
