Coba Alert

Ret. Sgt Kevin Nuckel's Name To Be Added To The 9/11 Memorial Wall In Nesconset Saturday Sept. 18th, 2021

August 16, 2021

Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

As we recognize the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, please be aware that Retired Sgt. Kevin Nuckel's name is going to be added to the 9/11 Memorial Wall in Nesconset on Saturday Sept 18th, along with well over 200 other Responders that were lost just this past year from 911 related illnesses.

It is incredible to think that so many people passed away in just the last year while others continue to suffer the effects as the 20th Anniversary of that terrible day approaches.

In honor of the 20th Anniversary as well as having Kevin's name memorialized, COBA will once again represent our Officers at this solemn ceremony that is attended by many hundreds of people paying their respects.

We are also reminding everyone of the significance of the 20th Anniversary as well as Kevin Nuckel's placement alongside our other Members Sgt. Mark Baxter and Officer Larry Lamme'.

I urge our members and retirees to attend this ceremony in honor of those we lost.

COBA is considering providing transportation to this event if we get enough response since parking can be an issue at the event.

If you are considering attending this ceremony and would like transportation to and from the event please call the Union office and put your name on our list so we can plan accordingly.

Please respond by no later than Sept 1st.

The Union Office number is 516-937-7800

or by email at: nassaucoba@gmail.com

Always in Unity;

Brian Sullivan, COBA President
