COBA is saddened to report the sudden passing on Friday June 24th, of Retired Correction Lieutenant Thomas Boniface. Lt. Boniface was a longtime member of the Sheriffs Dept, having retired in 2008 with over 30 years of service. Tom was 73 years old and is the father of Correction Corporal Michael Boniface and Correction Officer Christopher Boniface.  

Funeral Arrangements are not yet finalized.

COBA will forward those arrangements once we are notified.

On behalf of the Board of Governors of the Nassau County Correction Officers Benevolent Association and all Nassau Correction Officers we extend our sincere condolences to the entire Boniface family, their friends and all those who grieve his loss.
