COBA is saddened to report the passing of Retired Correction Lieutenant William "Bill" Stanley, suddenly of a heart attack last night. Bill had been doing well recently, after suffering from several medical issues over the past several years.
On behalf of the Board of Governors of the Nassau County Correction Officers Benevolent Association and all Nassau Correction Officers we extend our sincerest condolences to the entire Stanley family, their friends and all those who grieve his loss.
Bill's son William Jr is a retired Nassau County Deputy.
