Dear COBA Members;

COBA is extremely saddened to report the passing today of Active Duty Correction Officer Joseph Sabatino. A 21 year Veteran Officer with this Department.

Joe fought a long, brave and private battle with cancer, never burdening his friends with his fight. But, he ultimately lost that battle to this dreaded and heartless disease.

Arrangements are not available as yet.

We will forward those arrangements when they are set by the family.

On behalf of the Board of Governors and all Nassau County Correction Officers, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Joe's Wife and Daughter and to all of his friends and loved ones.
