Dear COBA Members/Retirees:

Several COBA Members have notified the Union that they were not aware of the current Open Enrollment Period to make any changes to their Medical/Dental Benefit Options. The County did put out notice through the County Email System a few days ago, providing information on this topic, but as we all know, not all COBA Members receive County emails. The open enrollment period for any changes to your 2019 Benefit Plan is from Dec. 17th to Jan. 17th 2019.  

Attached below is the announcement with all basic information about the Open Enrollment Period. Please be advised that there are increases in Co-Pays for both Active and Retired employees that COBA has no control over as these are governed under NYS Health Insurance Plan Rules. While Co-Pays do increase, there is no diminution of benefits.

I have also attached the new Co-Pay schedule as was published in the NYSHIP Program Booklet that you all should have received in the mail from NYSHIP.
