OFFICERS RALLY FOR REMOVAL OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION SPECIALIST

EAST MEADOW - More than 100 Nassau County corrections officers rallied today to call for the removal of the county jail’s affirmative action specialist.

Andreaus Guilty is tasked with investigating discrimination complaints at the county correctional facility in East Meadow. Officers say Guilty posted Facebook comments from August through November that they say are racist and seek to incite violence against law enforcement.

The correction officers' union has filed a federal discrimination complaint against Guilty with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
