Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

At 5pm tonight, NIFA conducted a Directors Meeting at which the NIFA Board voted to approve the Longevity Memorandum of Agreement between all 5 Nassau Labor Unions and the County.

This now paves the way for payment to all of Nassau County's affected employees by the Comptroller's Office, who has advised that the payments of retro for years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 are scheduled to be made on June 22nd.  

Remember, the new Longevity schedule takes effect as of January 1st, 2022 and any adjustments between the amount you already received and the amount you are owed for the 2022 payment will be made accordingly. Those adjustments for the 2022 payments are being calculated now by the Comptroller's Office.
