Nassau Corrections Honored With 2021 Law Enforcement Award

September 19, 2021

Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

I was very proud to represent Nassau County Correction Officers today along with the COBA Executive Board and the Sheriffs Dept Honor Guard at a solemn Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Malverne honoring NYPD Officers Christopher Christodoulou and Russel Timoshenko. I was doubly honored to receive the 2021 Law Enforcement Award on behalf of all Nassau County Correction Officers at the 100th Anniversary Communion Breakfast of St. Mary’s/Maris Stella Knights of Columbus Council #2228 following the Mass along with several other Honorees.

Correction Officers are unsung heroes, working the hardest job in Law Enforcement and I am proud to represent them.

Thank you Ret. NYPD Sgt. Larry Lombardo, the Knights of Columbus and Members of "Survivors of the Shield" for recognizing Nassau County Correction Officers with this prestigious honor.

God Bless the families of all the fallen. Never Forget.

Always In Unity;

Brian Sullivan, COBA President

Today's Honorees Mayor Alan Beach, Nassau Legislator William Gaylor along with members of the Christodoulou and Timoshenko Families.
