Dear COBA Members;
Jeff Harris, a Schoolteacher at Kellenberg High School is part of a program called "Porch Project", which takes photographs of families on Long Island in an effort to provide work to photographers during the pandemic. Jeff, did not charge any money for photos he took but asked for donations to help First Responders during the crisis. He used money he received to buy lunch for our Correction Officers working the front lines today. It was a fantastic meal prepared by Rialto Restaurant at 588 Westbury Ave. Carle Place, NY 11514.
We can't thank Jeff enough for thinking of our front line workers, that include his wife a Nurse and his brother, Nassau County Correction Officer Brian Harris.
Supporting each other is what life is all about.
Thank you Jeff Harris and the Porch Project, as well as Rialto for thinking of us and for the great meal. And thanks to News12 for airing the story of the generosity of all those involved.
