Dear COBA Members;

If you took college classes in the year 2022 you may be eligible for Course Reimbursement. Please come into the Union Office to fill out the Course Reimbursement Application and the Claim Voucher.

The Course Reimbursement Fund has been established to enable members to apply for and receive tuition reimbursement up to 50% of tuition paid for undergraduate and graduate courses taken at an accredited college, provided the member receives a grade of at least C+.

Any active member of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association who took college credited courses in calendar year 2022 and meets the above criteria is eligible to apply for the course reimbursement. The course reimbursement is for tuition only. All other expenses are the responsibility of the member.

For additional information, or to apply for course reimbursement, please contact the COBA Office # (516) 937-7800 or via email at nassaucoba@gmail.com. Additional information regarding the course reimbursement fund is also available on the Union website at NassauCOBA.com. After signing in click the Contracts/Forms link at the top of the page.

When applying for Course Reimbursement you must supply a copy of your bursar receipt for tuition paid and a copy of your transcript indicating at least a C+ for each course. Courses that are offered on a pass or fail basis only, must receive a "pass" grade.

All course reimbursement requests for calendar year 2022 must be submitted to the COBA Office no later than January 31st, 2023
