Dear COBA Members;

The Ratification Vote for the proposed contract agreement has been scheduled for Wednesday August 31st, 2022. COBA has secured voting machines from the Nassau County Board of Elections. The vote will be conducted from 0600 to 1900 hours at the Jail's On Site COBA Union Office located just outside the A-Bldg Main Control Desk in the Core Moat.  

Absentee Ballots are now available for any members in good standing and eligible to vote but are unavailable to report to the polling place for an in person use of the voting machines. This only applies to members who are on disability leave, maternity leave, or any other pre-approved entitlement day.

Absentee Ballots are distributed by and must be returned to the Committee appointed to run the ratification vote.
