On May 17th, members of Nassau  COBA participated in the 2nd annual "Face-off for a Cause" Union Hockey charity tournament at Abe Stark Arena in Brooklyn. This event, organized by the NYS Court Officers, benefited the family of Nassau Court Officer James Barbieri, a COBANC member who recently passed and left behind a wife and three children. The teams that participated were CWA Hockey (Verizon), The NY/NJ Port Authority, the NYS Court Officers and the UCOMM All-Stars. Representing Nassau COBA on Team UCOMM were Phil Huber and Matt Goban. The UCOMM All-Stars went on to win the tournament with a win over the NY/NJ Port Authority; congratulations to them. We at Nassau COBA extend our solemn regards to the Barbieri family. We look forward to participating in this event every year.
