May 28, 2020

Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

Today was a great day as the Nassau County Correction Officers (COBA) Widows and Childrens Committee conducted our "Salute to Healthcare Heroes/Rolling Classic Car Show and Parade" to NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola. It was a fantastic event. Thank you Sheriff Jim Dzurenda and Police Cmsr Pat Ryder for your operational support!! Thank you Ed and Jessica Dennehy from Mad Men Barbershop in Wantagh who donated their 100,000th mask to our local responders at our event today. Thank you Vincent LeVien from Silver Shields COVID-19 Task Force who along with our Widows and Childrens Committee donated loads of donuts, coffee, energy bars, cases of water etc to the staff at Winthrop thanking them for their valiant efforts during this pandemic. Special Thanks to over 75 Classic Car and Hot Rod enthusiasts who joined our Salute the Heroes Parade with some great rides, and Contour Mortgage Company who made a generous donation to help with the supplies for today's event.

A very special thank you to the Nassau COBA Widows and Childrens Committee for organizing this event especially Cpl. Rich Nauss and CO Jon Donohue. Great work!!!

We hope the entire staff at Winthrop enjoyed the show and the goodies and accept our most sincere appreciation for all they do.

Stay Safe and Healthy Everyone!!!
