COBA Proudly Endorses the Following Political Candidates

October 23, 2021

Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

Each year, COBA meets and screens candidates for Local, State and Federal Elections. We base our endorsements on their record, how well they understand the needs of Nassau County Correction Officers and whether we believe they will support us in our jobs going forward.

We fully understand that Correction Officers have different political views and may have political party allegiances. Our endorsements do not follow party lines. We endorse solely on whether we believe they are the best choice for us collectively as Correction Officers.

As we do every election cycle, we urge you to encourage your friends, family and other Correction Officers to Vote for Candidates that support us as Correction Officers.

Early voting starts today.

See below a chart showing times and locations where you can vote early. Election Day is Tuesday November 2nd. You can vote at your regular polling place on that date between the hours of 6am and 9pm.

This year we urge our members to concentrate particularly on the race for Nassau District Attorney. This race will most assuredly affect your day to day job as a Correction Officer more than any other race ever has.

We urge you to vote for Anne Donnelly in this race.

For our Members who live in Suffolk. Another email will follow this one with the Candidates that our Coalition partners in Suffolk Corrections have endorsed.

Always In Unity;

Brian Sullivan, COBA President
