COBA President Interviewed Regarding Civil Unrest and Elected Leaders Failure to Act on LI News Radio Today

June 2, 2020

Dear COBA Members;

COBA President Brian Sullivan was invited to speak on LI News Radio with Jay Oliver earlier today to discuss the current state of civil unrest, keying on the fact that our elected leaders from the Federal and State levels have failed to take action to restore law and order.

Our elected leaders have hidden from their utmost responsibility which is to protect the public. Public Safety particularly in New York has taken a back seat to appeasing criminality as we have all seen by the Paroling of cop killers, to the Bail Reform disaster, and now the fact that our leaders have failed to stop uncontrolled violence in our streets. Instead, what our State leaders are demanding is the repeal of NYS Civil Rights Law 50a which protects personal information of all Law Enforcement Officers from being revealed to dangerous criminals in this State. This is nothing less than appeasement of criminal actions instead of fulfilling their duty to protect the public.
