Dear COBA Members/Retirees;
See below the link to an interview I gave on LI News Radio this morning regarding the proposed "Anti-Harassment, Human Rights Bill for Law Enforcement" that was passed by the County Legislature last week, then vetoed by County Executive Curran.
There were a lot of misconceptions surrounding the purpose of this Bill, some of it on purpose done by individuals bent on an anti law enforcement agenda. Unfortunately, those voices were heard above the fray and the Bill was vetoed for reasons that we in the Nassau County Law Enforcement Community feel were completely wrong and misguided.
I urge you to take a few minutes to update yourselves on this issue to see what was done here and what our options are going forward.
Always in Unity;
Brian Sullivan, COBA President
