Dear COBA members,

Tonight the NIFA Board approved the 2026 Nassau County budget which included the County Retirement Incentive.

The next step will now be for all the Unions to come to terms individually with the County Executive on the “window” to enact this incentive for their specific Union.

My main goal in this is to afforded as many COBA members as possible to take part in this incentive.

Once we negotiate a window for our members I will immediately inform you all.

As a side note, due to the budget vote being pushed back by NIFA til December. The window will not be limited to the month of January 2026.
