Dear COBA Members;
Yesterdays Board of Governors Election resulted in a tie for the 7th and 8th Delegate position. The 7th Position was a 4 Year Term and the 8th position was for a vacated 2 year position. Both John McLoughlin and Jon Donohue received 260 votes each.
The Election Committee contacted both Candidates and they agreed to an informal resolution (Flip of a coin) saving the Union the time and cost of having a run off. Candidate John McLoughlin will serve a 4 year term and Jon Donohue will serve a 2 year term. We would like to Thank both Candidates for agreeing to an informal resolution to this tie and saving the Union the cost and time of a runoff to decide a term length.
We would also like to once gain Thank the COBA Election Committee, Vincent Precipuo, Jason Doughty, Chris Boniface and Tommy Diiorio for all their work and dedication during the Contract Ratification and Board of Governors Election.
