Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

I am happy to report that at tonight's meeting of the Nassau Interim Finance Authority (NIFA), at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale, the NIFA Board voted on and approved our contract, giving it full and final ratification. This ends the long road of negotiation, agreement, and the multi-tiered ratification process. Our contract is fully passed and complete.

COBA will now work to ensure that all facets of the contract are properly implemented. It's been a long road that has finally come to fruition tonight.

I'll keep you all informed as we proceed with the contract's implementation.
