Three Strohm Sisters Family Foundation Issues Grant To Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory In Honor Of Nassau County Correction Officers

Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

The Three Strohm Sisters Family Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 dedicated to the fight against cancer, and raising awareness of early cancer detection, by sponsoring many fundraising events and supporting cancer research.

In addition to their commitment to eradicating cancer, the Strohm Family has a long tradition of law enforcement and public service stretching back almost a century.

The Strohm Family subscribes to the tenets that cancer is a scourge that respects no national boundaries. When good people focus their efforts on a common problem, anything is attainable.

To these ends, the Strohm Sisters Family Foundation has developed a Law Enforcement Partnership with numerous organizations including Nassau COBA with the goal of eradicating pediatric cancer. This Partnership has evolved over the past few years to encompass a broad spectrum of the law enforcement community on both sides of the Atlantic. By uniting the global law enforcement community, and citizens who believe in being of service to their fellow man, and working with leading international scientific researchers, we are confident that a cure for childhood cancers will be found.

Today COBA was notified that the Strohm Sisters Family Foundation issued a $2500 dollar grant to the Cold Spring Harbor Cancer Research Laboratory in honor of the dedicated Public Service of Nassau County's Correction Officers.

On behalf of all Nassau County Correction Officers, we thank Ed Strohm and his foundation for this honor.

See below the memo from the foundation to Cold Spring Harbor labs.

Always in Unity;

Brian Sullivan, COBA President
