Annual Scholarship Application 2026

Dear COBA Members,

The Board for the Widows and Children Fund is pleased to announce the Annual Scholarship Application for 2026 are available to be picked up at the

Core and Satellite Desk. This year the board will be awarding scholarships as follows:

*Six (6) $1,000.00 scholarships for new freshmen (graduating seniors)

*Six (6) $1,000.00 for returning full-time students (sophomore & above)

In addition to the above Scholarships,

Retired Correction Captain Peter Dudek has once again sponsored

One (1) $500.00 scholarship in memory of his son Peter Robert Dudek

All qualifiers for this scholarship are the same as the Widows and Children Fund Scholarships.

The Nassau County Correction Officers Charitable Foundation will be awarding

One (1) $1,500.00 scholarship to an Active Correction Officer's Child who is entering college as a freshman or a returning student.

All Applications MUST to be returned to the COBA Office located at 504 East Meadow Ave East Meadow NY 11554 no later than Monday June 15, 2026.

(previous award winners not to eligible)

Scholarships will be chosen by LOTTERY at the

General Membership Meeting on Tuesday,

June 16, 2026, at 2000hrs at the

Sherman Van Ness Fire Station located at

154 Uniondale Ave, Uniondale NY 11553.
