At the June General Membership Meeting each year the Nassau County Sheriff's Correction Officers Benevolent Association Widow's and Children's Fund gives out six $1500.00 Scholarships. Three to graduating High School Seniors and three to returning College students. The Scholarship winners are selected at random.

This year the three graduating High School Seniors that were selected were:

Rosanna Lobosco - Daughter of Correction Officer Robert Lobosco
Taylor Bell - Daughter of Correction Officer Tawana Reynolds
Stephanie Schefer - Daughter of Correction Officer Jack Schefer

The three returning College Students that were selected were:

Ahyana Green - Daughter of Correction Sergeant Omarr Green

Jennifer Hughs - Daughter of Correction Sergeant Richard Hughs

John Strawa - Son of Correction Officer Roman Strawa
