At the June General Membership Meeting each year the Nassau County Sheriff's Correction Officers Benevolent Association Widow's and Children's Fund gives out six $1500.00 Scholarships. Three to graduating High School Seniors and three to returning College students. The Scholarship winners are selected at random.

This year the three graduating High School Seniors that were selected were:

Cammy Doyle           Daughter of Correction Sergeant Brian Doyle
Christopher Rose     Son of Correction Officer Bryan Rose

The three returning College Students that were selected were:

Holly Ackerman    Daughter of Correction Officer Melissa Lee Thomas
Kayla Berry            Daughter of Correction Officer Kevin Berry
Edward Firth          Son of Correction Officer Edward Firth
