Message from Nassau County Comptrollers Office

FICA reimbursement checks for time lost due to injuries in 2013 were mailed out earlier this month.  Each individual will be receiving 2 checks.  One is for the tax reimbursement and the other is interest related to it.  If anyone has interest that exceeds $600 the County will be issuing them a 1099 for the interest in January.  These checks are only for those individuals that responded to a letter that was sent to them last February and they had returned them to the Comptroller's Office by April 1st.

We are currently working on the files for 2014.  We will again be mailing out letters to the affected individuals at a later date (sometime in February should be the latest date).
