Capt. Kenny Baricevac, Retirement Day Washdown and Mustering Out Tribute

May 27, 2021

Dear COBA Members and Retirees;

Capt. Kenny Baricevac retired today, mustering out of the Sheriffs Dept after over 31 years of dedicated service.

Through all the ranks he progressed through, Kenny never forgot where he came from and that the frontline Officers are the backbone of this job, deserving of all the help and support they can get. As we all know, we've had some people lose track of this most important fact as they rose through the ranks, but that simple fact was never lost on Kenny. Through all his years of dedicated service, whether in the Sheriff's Dept or in the Fire Service, Kenny Baricevac was always there when someone needed help. Whether it was organizing a fundraiser or building a wheelchair ramp at someone's house after a life altering event, Kenny was always there with a smile and a funny story to tell.

Today was Kenny's last day on our job, and dozens of Officers, Supervisors and Civilian Staff lined up to bid him a fond farewell.

See below a video of today's fitting tribute as we all wish Kenny well as he moves on to his life's next chapter.

Always in Unity;

Brian Sullivan, COBA President
