Another Successful 911 Registration Seminar In The Books!!!

July 15, 2021

Dear COBA Members/Retirees;

I am happy to report that today we conducted another very successful and informative 911 Registration Seminar at the COBA Office.

More than two dozen active and retired members who had not yet registered with the 911 Victims Compensation Fund, WTC Health Program and NYS Pension System attended today and were educated on what their rights are and signed in to all the programs.

With that, protecting their rights and their families welfare should they ever become ill, be diagnosed, or God forbid die from a 911 related condition.

The Seminar was conducted by our good friend and member of the Turken Heath and McCauley Law Firm, former NYPD Officer Jeannie Kelly, along with law firm Partner Matt McCauley, who is also former NYPD. Matt and Jeannie were members of the team who walked the halls of Congress, lobbying to refund the Victims Compensation Fund and WTC Health Program. Their dedicated work paid off when it all passed Congress and was signed into law by former President Trump.

To be clear, Jeannie Kelly is doing God's work and is a fountain of information for all things 911 related. She is the former 911 Outreach Coordinator for Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC and has helped countless First Responders navigate the bureaucratic red tape associated with protecting their rights under the various programs, including many of our own Nassau County Correction Officers.

Thank you to all who attended.

Thank you Jeannie Kelly and Matt McCauley for all you do.

Always in Unity;

Brian Sullivan, COBA President
